Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn, who was born August 19, 1965, is an American actress. She is also a producer and director. She is best known for her role as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson in the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick received a Golden Globe Award and an Emmy Award for her portrayal as Johnson in 2007. The series ended following its seventh season. Sedgwick is also famous for her part in Brooklyn Nine-Nine as Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was nominated to the Golden Globe for her role in Something to Talk About (1995). Her film credits include Oliver Stone's Born in July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's Individuals (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) and What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2011) are also among her many. Sedgwick was born in New York City, the daughter of Patricia (nee Rosenwald), an educator and speech therapist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick V, an investor in venture capital. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was Episcopalian, with English origin. Sedgwick identifies herself as Jewish, and she has said that she participates in Passover seders.
