Catherine Anne
Catherine Anne O'Hara OOC (born on March 4 1954) is a Canadian-American actor and comedian. O'Hara has received a variety of awards, including the Genie Award, a Golden Globe Award and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. She also received two Primetime Emmy Awards and six Canadian Screen Awards. In 2018, she was named an Officer of Canada and in 2020, she was awarded the Governor General's Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement award. O'Hara made her debut as an actress in 1974, as a member of The Second City in Toronto. Together with John Candy (1975-1978), she was part of the principal casting for the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). O'Hara joined Candy in the sketch comedy show Second City Television (1976-1984). She received the attention of critics both for her acting and writing skills and was honored with the Primetime Emmy Award, 1981, for Outstanding Writing for Variety Series. In 2022, O'Hara was added to the brand-new Second City artistic advisory board headed by Stephen Colbert, along with Steve Carell, Dwayne Colbert, Tina Fey, Keegan-Michael Key, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jane Lynch, Tim Meadows, Peter Murrieta, Suzy Nakamura Sam Richardson, Jeff Richmond, Jason Sudeikis, and Robin Thede.
