Kamala Harris

 Kamala Devi Harris, born on the 20th of October 1964 was a prominent American politician as well as a lawyer. She is currently the 49th vice president of the United States. She is the first female vice president , and the most powerful female official in U.S. history, as being the first African American and first Asian American vice president. She is a senator and former US senator who represents California. Harris was born in Oakland, California. She graduated from Howard University as well as the University of California Hastings College of the Law. She started her career with the Alameda County District Attorney's Office. Then she was recruited to San Francisco District Attorney's Office. In 2003 she was elected district attorney of San Francisco. In 2010, she was elected Attorney General of California and was re-elected in 2014. Harris served as the junior United States Senator from California between 2017 until 2021. Harris defeated Loretta Sanchez in the 2016 Senate election, becoming the second African American woman and the first South Asian American to serve in the United States Senate. She was a senator who fought for health care and federal de-scheduling of cannabis. A path towards citizenship for migrants who aren't legal. The DREAM Act bans assault weapons and progressive tax reform. She is well-known for the direct questioning she conducted of Trump government officials during Senate hearings.
